Summer is in full swing people, so far summer has been wonderful, 3 day weekend filled with coffee shops and Paddington. The funniest thing about having him, is people think he’s fake! Sometimes people will come up to us and say that they thought he was a stuffed animal until he moved. Also did you see the trailer for the new Paddington movie? The teaser trailer came out the day after I named the pup. Oh well, the name fits my little fluff to a tee.

Hope everyone is having an amazing summer as well! What are your plans for the 4th of July? Fireworks and a bbq?

10 steps to a better cup of coffee

  1. Heat your mug. Fill your mug with boiling water before while your coffee is brewing. This helps keep the quality of the coffee, as well as keeps your coffee warmer much longer.
  2. Buy whole beans to grind right before brewing.
  3. Keep your coffee beans in a sealed container
  4. Try using honey as a sweetener
  5. Use a French press
  6. Commonly a French press is brewed for 4 minutes, I like a 3 minute French press
  7. Keep a collection of mugs you really like
  8. NEVER add butter to coffee, trust me, don’t do it
  9. Use the appropriate grind for the method of brewing that you’re using (always coarse for French press)
  10. Always drink coffee over tea

you must {drink} here: stirling proper I 21st Glisan st.

Stirling is currently my favorite coffee house. It’s a small little location — just 50 square feet. Chic to the max. Coffee house by day and wine bar by night. Stirling features chic little tables, classy music, white tablecloths, baristas in crisp shirts and ties, and fantastic coffee. Wearing a Burberry shirt and journaling while sipping on a espresso and mineral water is acceptable and encouraged.

(Ratings done on a scale of 1-5, 1 being, “ok, I mean it’s fine.” 5 being, “oh, wow. Just wow.”)
